Code of Ethics

The International Journal of Documentary Heritage (IJODH) is committed to publishing high-quality, original research that contributes to the field. Authors submitting manuscripts to IJODH are expected to adhere to the following ethical guidelines:

1. Originality and Significance: Manuscripts should present original research that contributes significantly to the knowledge domain of documentary heritage.

2. Confidentiality: Authors must ensure the confidentiality of all data used in their research, adhering to ethical guidelines and regulations. They should also respect the privacy of participants and collaborators.

3. Plagiarism and Citation: Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and properly citing any previously published material used in their manuscripts. Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, abuse of Artificial Intelligence, or omission of significant data are strictly prohibited.

4. Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their research or its interpretation. The Editor-in-Chief may assess the potential impact of disclosed conflicts.

5. Double-Blind Review: IJODH employs a double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts should not contain any self-identifying information to ensure anonymity throughout the review process.

6. Accuracy and Objectivity: Authors are expected to present their research accurately and objectively, including a fair and balanced discussion of the research limitations and implications.

7. Responsiveness and Communication: Authors are responsible for responding promptly to requests for revisions and communicating effectively with the editorial team. Failure to meet deadlines may result in manuscript withdrawal from the current issue.
